 Bezeklik Buddha Caves
Turpan, China

Bezeklik was initially a Manichaean Monastery complex, according to a Russian expedition  published in "Russkaia Turkestanskaia ekspeditsiia, 1909-1910 goda"

"I think that Bezelik was initially Manichean temple village and after that it was occupied by Budhists, who rearranged some grottoes. I think that one from this initially Manichean grottoes is grotto 23, where in depth it was drawed a tree, and below this tree I can see some figures, but in very bad condition. Prof. Grunvedel have unpublished picture from this image (of the tree - YZ), and he was able to reconstruct it better than me, because I can see this image in worse condition than he and I suppose a photo will not reflect it good. I wish that prof. Grunvedel will publish this precious image.(table 42). From this grotto S.M.Dudin has copied an ornament, I think this is Buddhistic (you can see it in this page)" Translation From Russian by Yaroslav Zolotaryov

For example, grotto #23 was initially a Manichaean chamber and there is a tree with some figures below it.
