Ritual initiation is an intricate part of the ancient Nazorean Path. Modern practitioners, often separated by great distances and preoccupied with modern living, will be tempted to set aside these rituals and solely concentrate on the information available through books, web sites, and modern technology. This is a workable approach in the initial stages of developing an Essene lifestyle and world view, but for complete transformation into a complete Nazorean, it is necessary to eventually receive and physically incorporate these Naziruthian Rituals into one's life.

The Listener Level (Manichaean Church) of the modern Order of Nazorean Essenes  has twelve Ceremonial Initiations that represent different degrees of progression along the Gnostic path. These rituals have their roots in ancient Essene practices and are reflected, to various degrees, in the 7 Sacraments and Sacramentalia of Eastern Orthodox, Roman, and Nestorian Catholicism, and in the preserved writings of the Manichaeans and Mandaeans.

For those not quite ready to make such a formal commitment, the Order is making available here an online transcript of these Ancient Essene Rituals. We would emphasize, however, that familiarity with such through study is not the same as receiving the full Rites available in a functioning Nazorean Community and should not be considered a complete initiation into the Essene Path. We encourage all who study the following Rituals, or who receive a watered down version of them from another church, to eventually fully receive them through an authorized agent of the Order of Nazorean Essenes. Only by eventually doing this can a real Essene Sisterhood and Brotherhood be restored to the earth in its full and ancient glory. Any thing short of this can only be an echo of the warmth, compassion and wisdom that develops among souls who jointly and unitedly walk the Essene Path of the Living Christ through full formal participation in these Ancient Rituals.
